Privacy Policy

In short

• Without an account, your songs and playlists are stored only on your device. If you sign in, they are also saved in your SingScroll account so they sync to your other devices.
• The microphone is used only while the mic button is on, to follow your singing. Your voice is recorded only if you turn on REC, and those recordings stay on your device.
• SingScroll shows no ads and does not track you.

Your songs and playlists

If you use SingScroll without an account, the songs, playlists and settings you create are saved on your device only and are not sent to us. If you delete the app, they are deleted too (unless your device backs up app data to your own iCloud or Google account).

Your account (optional)

You can sign in with Apple, Google, or a code sent to your email. We then store your email address (or the private relay address Apple gives us), your name if the sign-in provider shares it, and the songs and playlists you save, so they are available on every device where you sign in. This data is stored by our hosting provider, Supabase, on servers in the United States, protected so that only your account can access it. We never sell it or use it for advertising. Your account identifier, email address and name are also shared with RevenueCat, our subscription service, so your subscription works on all your devices and we can help you with it (for example to restore or gift access).

You can delete your account at any time in the app (Settings, Account, Delete account). This permanently deletes your account and everything saved in it.

Microphone and speech recognition

When you turn on the mic, SingScroll uses your device's speech recognition to understand the words you sing and follow them in the lyrics. On iPhone this is Apple's speech recognition, and on Android it is the device's speech service (usually Google). Depending on your device and language, the audio may be processed on the device or by Apple or Google under their own privacy policies. SingScroll does not record, store or send your audio to us, unless you turn on recording yourself: when you tap REC or use "Sing a new song", the recording is saved only on your device, and you decide whether to share or delete it.

Websites you browse

In the Browse tab, websites are displayed as they are. SingScroll reads the words on the page on your device only to follow your singing, and does not copy, store or send them anywhere. The websites you visit have their own privacy policies.

Subscriptions

Purchases in the app are handled by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). Purchases on singscroll.com are handled by Paddle.com, our online reseller and Merchant of Record: Paddle receives your payment details, email address and billing country to process the payment, taxes and receipts, under its own privacy policy; we never see your card details. We use RevenueCat to check whether you have an active subscription. RevenueCat receives an anonymous identifier and your purchase history; if you are signed in, also your account identifier, email address and name. It never receives your payment details.

Children

SingScroll is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.

Your rights

You can see, edit and delete your songs and playlists at any time in the app, and delete your whole account in Settings. To get a copy of your data or for any other request, contact us at the address below.
